Atlanta Thrashers mascot arrested!

Excited by the overwhelming on-ice success of the Thrashers who moved into fifth place in the Eastern Conference on Monday night with a 17-11-3 record, but frustrated that the team isn't getting the attention he feels they so rightly deserve, Thrash took matters into his own hands Wednesday morning and attempted to drive a Zamboni from the team's practice facility in Duluth, GA all the way to Philips Arena in downtown Atlanta. His hope was that driving a Zamboni along 25 miles of interstate would draw the attention of Atlanta's commuters and force them to pay attention to the Thrashers team.

1. Not many pro-hockey fans in ATL

unless they're transplants from the NE, and then, those folks usually have their own team and go to the thrashers games when the team is visiting.

ATL is not a pro-hockey town and there is some talk of the thrashers being sold.
