Tebow signs 5-year, $33 million deal!
CENTENNIAL - Quarterback Tim Tebow has signed a five-year, $33 million deal with the Denver Broncos. The deal guarantees Tebow $8.7 million.

Tebow and the Broncos agreed on the contract on Thursday, the USA Today reports.

He was picked 25th overall in the draft, the Broncos' second pick in the first round. The Broncos' first pick, Georgia Tech wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, has still not signed with the team.

The Broncos began workouts with rookies on Wednesday, but Tebow missed the first few practices while both sides worked on the deal. Thomas has not come to practice either and is the only unsigned member of Denver's draft class.

Tebow will now enter camp and compete with Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn for snaps.

Tebow is expected to practice Friday morning, the final session before training camp begins Sunday with a full squad.

Head coach Josh McDaniels has said that the starting job is still Orton's.

19. I really think so
I hope it's week 7 -- or 8 -- so the Raiders or 49ers can give him a pasting.

Mmmm.... looking at the schedule it's more likely to happen week 10, after the Bronco's bye. They'll play Kansas City in Colorado. Perfect circumstances.

20. Well, the Broncos organization appears pretty dim-witted these days
so you might be right.

And he won't do squat in DC without a hall-of-fame QB to call the plays.

10. I agree...Elway needed Shanahan more than Shanahan needed him....
...Elway, having lived in Denver, is worshipped for largely irrational reasons.

Besides, he's a big-time Repuke.

15. He only needed Shany because he didn't like Reeves.
He acted like a baby until he got his own way. Shanyhan never contradicted him. Elway was the better coach.

17. LOL
Sorry I have a hard time respecting a HOF QB who was outplayed and outcoached and out foxed by Doug Williams, Ricky Sanders and TIMMY SMITH. None of whom will be in the hall of fame... Shanahan obviously called better games for his QB's abilities. Thats the sign of a good coach..getting the maximum potential out of your stars. And ummm Shanahan doesn't exactly have a untalented QB to play with here either. McNabb is pretty good.

22. Yes. I would say getting his team two FIVE NFC championship games
even getting to the SB with TO the cancer is quite an accomplishment. Of course when you have the MIGHTY Kyle Orton/Brian Griese/Jay Cutler/Jake Plummer I can understand your looking down on McNabb..Oh btw, try not collapsing so you don't even make the playoffs after having a 2-3 game DIVISION lead. I bet you Washington would kill Denver at the moment.

23. Do I have to remind EVERYONE...
that I'm not a Broncos fan?????

Ever since Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys, I have no favorite NFL team. So you could say that I'm as impartial as they get.

8. Very incentive laden contract. $33M is the MOST he can get.
He'd have to walk on water to get that.

14. I've seen a bunch of Tebow Broncos shirts and jerseys in Times Square
Damned tourists! :P Tebow is the most popular backup ever.

I think he'll turn out to be a good QB, but who knows. He's a hard worker and that counts a lot.

26. Tebow passes tests, takes field for Broncos!
Lord this is getting sickening.

Tim Tebow is all smiles after arriving with a new contract at Dove Valley for Broncos training camp. (Hyoung Chang, The Denver Post)

Everybody's all-American, Tim Tebow, took the field today for his first practice as an official member of the Broncos.

Fresh off signing his five-year, $11.25 million contract, the former Florida quarterback and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, participated with teammates at Dove Valley after passing his physical and conditioning tests.

"Being out here with my teammates, playing, breaking sweat, it was a lot of fun," Tebow said, adding that he was eager to get done with contract talks and get out on the field. "I was trying to be patient, but it was extremely hard."
