Poll question: Should the baseball game count for anything?
Edited on Wed Jul-14-10 11:07 PM by Renew Deal
Currently the winner gets home field advantage for their league in the World Series.

5. My vote: no. But I also have always had a problem
with the fans voting for who plays. Who better to decide all-stars than the players and coaches? Otherwise it's a popularity contest that ends with a past-his-prime David Ortiz getting thrown out at second on a base hit.

7. Disagree. Plus there were others more deserving.

8. I WANT BIG PAPI!
And I want the fans to continue to vote for half the players. I WANT TO SEE MY ALL-STARS, whether they are washed up or not.

But I was real happy that Stray-Roid didn't get to play.

10. Totally agree
The fans absolutely should not vote the starters in (backups maybe). That's how you end up with someone like Cal Ripken in there for no good reason other than that he plays every day.:eyes:

I have to say it was nice, though, seeing an all-star game that was actually played like a regular season game for once, and managers having the tools to manage as if they want to win.
