Edited on Thu Feb-18-10 06:59 PM by LisaM
That, if nothing else does, should prove that in Tigers' world, it's all about Tiger.

The last thing I want in the middle of the Olympics is listen to him weeping at the public confessional. Yrcch.

2. I think it has something to do with making himself eligible to play this year.
Edited on Thu Feb-18-10 07:58 PM by rocktivity
I suspect he's about to miss some kind of deadline--either that, or the PGA is in such bad financial shape they're BEGGING him to return!

3. I don't think he'll be weeping...
...that would mean he's actually sorry for what he did, not simply sorry that he got caught.

6. I sincerely hope it's a 'welcome back, Tiger'!
Fuckstick Jason Whitlock of Fox Sports urges him to retire. Fuck you, Whitlock. Why don't you spare us your drivel and retire yourself. One of the greatest athletes of all time...he can say whatever the fuck he wants. Whenever. He's earned that. And Ernie...Shut the fuck up. Tiger owns you. Call him selfish. By the way. Nice round, today. Asshole.

10. He's doing it to divert attention from the Accenture Match Play Championship
Accenture dropped him as a player who they sponsored. Some of the other golfers are really pissed off that Woods is doing this at this time.

"It’s selfish,” (Ernie) Els told Golfweek. “You can write that. I feel sorry for the sponsor. Mondays are a good day to make statements, not Friday. This takes a lot away from the golf tournament.”

12. Ernie Els completely agrees with LisaM:
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2010/02/18/shamed-golfer-tiger-woods-to-make-apology-for-affairs-at-stage-managed-press-conference-86908-22051424/

TOP golfer Ernie Els has blasted Tiger Woods for choosing tomorrow to break his silence and face the world - claiming he's doing it to overshadow a major tournament.

Woods will speak publicly tomorrow for the first time since his bizarre car accident, beginning what his agent called "the process of making amends" for the sex scandal that sent him into hiding for three months. But he will be making his statement in Florida while the World Match Play Championship - the biggest event of the golfing year so far - is being held in Arizona.

And the event is being sponsored by management company Accenture - one of the first companies to dump the world number one after all the revelations about his private life that emerged following his November 27 car crash.

"It's selfish," Els told a reporter from American magazine Golf Week. "You can write that. I feel sorry for the sponsor. Mondays are a good day to make statements, not Friday. This takes a lot away from the golf tournament."

13. I couldn't sleep because of my concerns over El's thoughts.
Um...not really. Hey, Ernie. NOBODY wants to see you golf. Isn't that blatantly obvious?

16. Els Has A Memory Problem
When Els hit the tour, first place paid $400k. Since Tiger has been around, that number has nearly tripled. Those numbers did NOT change because of Ernie Els.

Ernie thinks Tiger is selfish? Well, when you're actually bigger than the game you play, (and Tiger is), the things you do make indeed appear selfish. But, guys like Els aren't the observers who should be commenting.

Ernie shut up and cash your much bigger paychecks.

14. According to the PGA
Edited on Fri Feb-19-10 06:34 AM by JonLP24
He doesn't have much time off away from rehab so he doesn't have a lot of flexibility when it comes to scheduling press conferences. He is doing this and spending some time with his kids and he goes back to rehab.

18. Rehab for what?
his so called sexual addiction?...Give me a break..

I'd have a heck of a lot more respect for Woods, if he just got up in front of everybody today and said in a calm clear voice that it was none of their damn business what he does in his personal life..

17. It's garbage day...
Please look carefully for all the other people who will dump their dirty laundry today while the press is all over this crap. I expect to see some repuke announce he killed a hooker or had a homosexual affair later today.

...and since it's Friday, he dismembered it. And since a Repuke did this, the MSM will ignore it.

19. Grow up, Tiger
So he's promisicuous. So what?
What bugs me about this guy is who the hell does he think he is?
He's a golfer sure, one of - if not the - best of all-time. But he's a golfer.
He is not whatever deity he apparently thinks he is.
I don;t give a crap about what he has to say or what he does.
For the record, I think his "therapy" is a crock of shit.
Go away, divorce your emotionally abused, and possibility abusive, wife and do whatever you want. You don't need therapy because you like tramps.
Just go away.
