1. Shockey got one
My starting fantasy TE :woohoo:

But why did they have to hold Manning to only 10 fantasy points?

2. Shockey is a monster if he stays healthy
Brees likes to keep everybody happy.

Why defense? New coordinator Greg Williams.

Alcohol stock is gonna skyrocket in the big easy tonight.

3. Looks like I should have started Zach Miller instead
Edited on Sun Oct-18-09 04:32 PM by JonLP24
84 yard score that's 15.4 fantasy points on that play alone. That's sad because Zach Miller has let me down all season with the exception of week 1.

Manning is my starting fantasy QB because the other Manning(who I have) has a bye week. Just wish the Saints could have let Manning get an extra TD and a few dozen more yards. :silly:

:toast: to the Saints and  one for me.

24. But the New Orleans QB is too short to play NFL ball.....
He's 5' 11 7/8" according to his combine measurments. That's too short according to Mel Hairguyexpert.

4. Saints had a 12 minute advantage in T.O.P...
11 more first downs and scored an average of 7 yards per offensive play. Nearly 500 net yards against the best defense in football.

And to be able to spread the ball around like that is awesome.

10. Sometimes it's hard not too
Remember the Giants had a playoff game taken away from them by poor officiating (the infamous SF no call). So don't try and pretend it doesn't happen.

16. It's poor officiating when your team loses. The Gnats were thumped today.

17. the Giants did stink today
and so did the officials. The outcome wouldn't have changed, but the officials still stunk. NO would have probably scored on those drives anyway.

18. The Refs took away a Giants TD for a phantom holding call
while they ignored the muggings by the Saints players. They handed the Saints another TD with a phantom pass interference call. Finally they gift wrapped a third TD for the Saints when they refused to call their clear fumble. That's 21 points and the margin of victory.

13. Judgement isn't all that bad if it's fair and even
in this case the zebras were taking away points from the Giants for phantom holding calls while allowing the Saints offensive players to literally mug the Giants defenders are more plays than I could keep track of. If you are going to be stingy on the calls do it for both sides evenly. Tight or lose in the officiating is fine, as long as it's done the same for both sides.

you will get your collective arses handed to you by the an angry bunch of Giants come play off time. Next time you will not be so lucky as to have a badly injury weakened Giants D and some of the worse officiating I have seen in at least a decade.

23. Saints kicked Gaints butts big time
My Giants sure miss Spags as defensive coordinator. Sure they have a bunch of DBs injured, but there also were no sacks. But there is always hope. I remember 2 years ago when the Giants got their asses handed to them by the Packers early in the season and then beat them in the NFC championship game at Green Bay in subzero weather.

So, in the NFL, it's how you finish that counts (providing you make the playoffs to begin with). A lot of things can happen between now and February (injuries, recoveries from injuries, etc).
