Murphy said that this win is for David Wright. Good to see the Mets are not taking that one lying down.

I said a few months ago that the Mets would stick a fork in Frisco's WC dreams. I figured mainly cause Beltran and Delgado would be back along with Reyes. Never did I think it would be the opposite and with Wright now out for the year with a concussion.

Frisco is now 2 WS - 5 LS against a Mets team that anyone with post season aspirations should be able to man handle. Especially after now losing Wright to the DL.

3. That's funny
That's gotta be brutal living in Port St Lucie with all the NY transplants living there. My family moved to Stuart.

I wound up living there for a year (1989) and going to Martin County High School. At the time I was there it was like being on Long Island sports wise. Lots of Isles and Mets fans.

Mets Country right now is actually rooting for Florida to win. Would love to see them stick the knife in Philly just so they know what it feels like.

Right now Frisco has to be the most hated team in NY. Matt Cain is a major douche.

2. Are you happy now?
Tears all dried?....Good, I'm glad something has made you feel better.

Actually though the Mets haven't exactly ended the Giants WC chances....after the Marlins/Rockies game is finished, those two, plus the Giants, will all be within 1 game of each other.

4. Stll gloating over Wright getting beaned in the head I see.
Don't worry.

At the end of the season when you're all out of WC after choking I'll be sure to rub your nose in it.

And don't cry when Pablo gets snuffed once again out of an All Star game. Wright will have gotten hit number 1000 which will boost up his voted total.

Oh, and Ralph Kiner thinks Sandoval is a dickhead.

the "Wright now out for the year" crap?

Perhaps you could elaborate because I sure haven't heard that.

7. So, in other words, you lied
not only isn't "Wright now out for the year" but as far as I know the Mets aren't, at least at this point, "losing Wright to the DL" either.

Why do you feel it necessary to embellish your posts?

Are you that insecure?

10. What about your original

claim of "Wright now out for the year with a concussion"

Are you confusing fact with speculation?

Or is something much more sinister at work?...

Please explain..

11. What happened to your claim that he wasn't on the DL?
Dipshit.

I'm a nurse. I know about this shit backwards and forwards.

He has post concussion syndrome. That takes about 2-3 months MINIMUM to resolve.

He's done for the year.

Go buy a clue.

You're the dumbest thing posting here. The fact that you are so unfamiliar with something as basic as a concussion and how it relates to sports is proof positive you are bandwagon sports fan. Concussions in sports has been on of the most highly debated topics over the last decade behind steroids. In the NHL IT IS ISSUE NUMERO UNO!!!!!

12. I didn't know you worked for the Mets
because despite your speculation, which you stated as fact at the beginning of this thread, it has not been announced that Wright is done for the year.

Perhaps you should offer your input to the Mets organization.

Though I doubt they'd be happy to indulge your hysteria.

Btw, I'm well aware of the concussion problem, not only in hockey, but 49er QB Steve Young was plagued by concussions which finally ended his career.

13. Thanks for confirming my point
The only person you are able to name is a guy who played in Frisco.

You don't know of guys like Pat Lafontaine, Eric Lindros, Brett Lindros, Patrice Bergeron, Rick Dipietro, Mike Matheny, Jim Edmunds, Corey Koskie

Here's more for you. There is only a month and a half left in the season. The protocols now adays is a MINIMUM of two months given the cases mentioned above.

When can I return to sports?
You should never return to play while you have any signs of concussion, like headache or dizziness. If your concussion is very mild, you may be allowed to return to play after 15 or 20 minutes. If you have memory loss or loss of consciousness, you may not be able to return to play for 1 to 2 weeks. After a severe concussion, you may not be able to return to play for a month. If this wasn't your first concussion, your return to play may take even longer.

What are the risks of returning to play too early?
A player returning too early could suffer from "second impact syndrome," which may be fatal. A second blow to the head, even a minor one, can make your body lose control of blood flow to the brain. Never return to a sports activity until you are cleared by a doctor.

Are there any lasting effects to a concussion?
Most people get better after a concussion without any permanent damage. Some people have signs of concussion for weeks to months. Repeated concussions could cause permanent damage. After several concussions, your doctor may talk with you about changing sports.
