Since Upton hasn't posted it yet, the Reds shut down the Giants
in San Francisco to take two out of three. Colorado, in the meantime, has moved into a tie for the Wild Card position and is only 5.5 games back of the fading Dodgers.

chance of winning a division title and/or a wild card. Yeah, it should be interesting.

Even that Natinals look like they are going to catch the Pirates!!

3. It was a very disappointing series for the Giants
highlighted by sloppy play and missed opportunities. You would think a team boasting an excellent home record like the Giants versus the poor road record of the Reds, and factoring in the pitching matchups, would have taken 2 out of 3 if not swept, but as one overused sports cliche goes...that's why they play the game.

5. It was Matt Kemp day again
blasting a 3-run double off Mr. "I know I have one no-hitter in me."

Matt Kemp is fast becoming a human highlight reel.

This series is shaping up to be a real tough one. The Giants will catch a break on Wednesday, though, as Billingsley is being pulled with a muscle strain. My pick to spot start that day against Timmy the Goat would be Mr. laid back surfer dude himself...Jeff (don't call me Randy) Weaver.
