Poll question: Which is a greater stepping stone for personal growth?
This poll excludes your own birth and death.

This poll is about major events versus common events. I don't want to call everyday family experiences minor or small, but they are not as dramatic as some life events such as the death of your parents or spouse.

Use your own life experiences to answer the question.

1. Quibble:
Death of one's parents, and birth of one's children, are common, almost universal life experiences.

Carry on.

3. Common world wide, but I specified personal life experience.
Most people don't have their parents die every month or have new children every month, but most DUers probably work or have family contact every month.

4. Nothing has changed me as profoundly
as the death of my father. The birth of my son has been changing me for 31 years, continuing.
Daily events don't come close to producing those kind of changes.
