ELKLAND | a band to watch


Golden, the debut album from Elkland, is a strikingly original and irresistibly tuneful slice of pop from a quartet that comes from the off-the-beaten-path town of Horseheads, New York. With Golden, the members of Elkland have taken the group's love of classic post-punk synthpop and Britpop--from the Cure to Joy Division to New Order and Björk--to create the hook-filled synthpop of tomorrow.

I just heard their song 'Apart' tonight and it's great.
