Resolution Seeking U.S. Government Records On Tupac Introduced
By Nolan Strong
Date: 11/7/2005 1:30 pm

Georgia House of Representative member Cynthia McKinney (D) has introduced House Resolution 4210, a new bill that calls for the United States government to release all documents it has collected on slain rapper, Tupac Shakur.

Like many, McKinney believes the government was monitoring the rapper when he was gunned down on the Las Vegas strip in 1996 after attending a Mike Tyson fight.

Tupac was shot on Sept. 7, 1996 as he rode in the passenger side of a BMW driven by Death Row CEO Marion “Suge” Knight, who suffered minor wounds.

The rapper died seven days later from multiple gunshot wounds, sparking conspiracy theories that ranged from a hip-hop rivalry, to a gang hit, to government conspiracies.

1. Ummm...
Very strange. Why would the government be withholding documents on Tupac in the first place? This is a theory I hadn't heard about. Must consult Google now.

3. Tupac's mother in exile...
Wasn't Tupac's mom a former black panther who escaped to Cuba to evade prosecution? Isn't it possible this is a Wellstone type thing where he could have been seen as a potential leader to the "masses"? Just saying, not implying any conspiracy theories or anything, but if you've looked into it or seen the documentary (forgotten its name, good though) there are a lot of unanswered questions... if they were spying on him, i'd be curious as to what if anything they discovered...

5. There's a theory
that the USG was worried about the hip-hop movement getting black kids organised & focused as a potential political force, as well as the messages being transmitted in the lyrics themselves. It begins with the crack epidemic & continues through the murder of Tupac & BIG - intended to have destabalizing & demoralizing effects.

This interview with Davey D is at the more serious end of the theory:

4. I agree...
I think Cynthia should be concentrating on more important things right now.
