1. Yup.
I'm a member of paperbackswap.com. You post books (paperback, hardcover or audio) and earn points you can use to request books from other members. I like it.

2. Paperbackswap dot com. Great site.
I belong to 2 swap sites. Both are free.

bookmooch used to be good, then the owner allowed a for profit bookseller to join, all the good books disappeared.
If you like romance or John Grisham or the Left Behind books, they have tons of them on the site.
One plus on the site is it is worldwide, there seems to be a lot of books available in other countries, but many people do not ship out of their own country.
Any disputes as to condition of books has to be settled between the "moocher' and the sender.
They keep a visible record of ratings for each person's profile, so you can check before you ask for a book.

I have ended up with a ton of points but can find no books to get.

Paperbackswap dot com is for hardbounds as well as paperbacks.
I rarely have gotten a book that was not in great condition.
The site monitors complaints and will ban repeat offenders. It also tracks the timeliness of the swap and is super easy to navigate. Great selection of books in all genres. Has many good features like a a highly functional search by author, title, genre, etc.
My preferred swap site, I have gotten 121 books, given 68, and have 171 books on my To Be Read pile.

It took me 5 seconds to find those numbers from my home page on the site.

Both sites cost only the postage of you mailing the book to someone, who then marks it received and you get a point or credit, good for one book, to use to order something you want. Average postage is 2.75.
On PBSwap, you can buy credits ( limited to a few per month) for 3.58.
Even the one cent books on Amazon cost 3.99 S&H.

Swapping is a good deal, very few problems.

Be warned, if you send out dirty, worn, torn, damaged books, you will find negative reviews on your profile.

Paperbackswap also has cdswap, and you can use book credits for cd credits, which is cool. They also have dvd swap.
cd swap has a 58 cent fee in addition to mailing costs, but mailing is usually 2.00.
