Kerry files in Ohio - FINALLY
this is from Keith Olbermann's daily email newsletter, just received!

The Kerry-Edwards campaign has filed legal documents in a one Ohio County --Delaware County -- to intervene as a party defendant. The motion filed on Tuesday and obtained by NBC News marks the first time the Kerry-Edwards campaign has joined the legal wrangling in Ohio in any formal fashion.

Was that all that was in his daily newsletter?

7. Just this remark:
Just this remark:
Did Kerry feel pressure from disgruntled supporters to do this? Though he has said that "every vote will be counted" he has been virtually silent on Ohio's possible voting irregularities.

The rest are show details for tonight - nothing else about voting mentioned though.

6. Kerry = Too Little, Too Late
We have already lost the recount momentum.

If he's that indecisive, maybe he would have been a mediocre leader.

I suspect the vast majority of the public already "accept" Putsch as Prez.

This won't amount to much, and I deeply regret that as much as any of you.

Kerry Team Seeks to Join Fight to Get Ohio County to Recount

Wednesday, December 1, 2004; Page A08

Sen. John F. Kerry's presidential campaign asked an Ohio judge yesterday to allow it to join a legal fight there over whether election officials in one county may sit out the state's impending recount....

......Lawyers for the Kerry campaign asked to join Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb, Libertarian candidate Michael Badnarik and the National Voting Rights Institute in the fight to force the county to participate in the recount. "If there's going to be a recount in Ohio, we don't want it to exclude Delaware County or any other county that might decide to follow Delaware County's lead," Kerry lawyer Dan Hoffheimer said. "It should be a full, fair and accurate recount."....

if they'd delayed on purpose, 'cause you're right, the timing isn't great and it'll be a little tougher to get the wind back into the sails than if this had happened a week or two ago. But maybe his team just had to take this long to get all the ducks in a row.

15. never was any momentum...
Recount cant even begin until after Dec 3 which is how long Katherine Blackwell is allowed by law to stall until certifying this election, and we know he/she will wait until the last possible second to do it. Imagine how much fun Rove and the Far Right GOP Spin Machine would have had calling Kerry-Edwards Sore Losermen for a month a half while waiting for the recount.

I mean, why bother drawing attention to themselves, raising their hands and saying "please can we be excused from the recounts" unless it is going to turn out that the numbers dont add up or non registered voters voted or people didnt sign in. Maybe Kerry-Edwards are going to be selective about what they get involved with and join in on anything that smells like fraud as opposed to incompetence.

23. pblblbt! talk about 'framing'
I dig Olbermann, but I'd sure like to slap any and every media person who uses the term 'legal wrangling'. Just like the endless repetition of 'we had the count, then the recount, then the recount of the recount, golly where will it all end?' that news folk couldn't get enough of...pblblblt!:puke:
