Dear Mr. Sancho,

There are thousands of people all over the country, in every state, fighting to end the madness of the electronic voting machine mess. Your courage in letting Mr. Hursti test the memory card has proven that there is a valid concern. We all thank you so much for what you have done and continue to do, to expose the problem and find a solution.

I have always said, even though I do not like George Bush, if he actually got more votes, I would be content. That is because I live in a democracy. But I am not content, because our democracy has been turned upside down. Because of that, you are a patriot.

4. Dear Mr. Sancho,

You are not fighting for FL alone; you're fighting for the whole country, and let me remind you that once the mafia tactics of these voting machine companies are exposed in court, the results are uniformly favorable to the aggrieved party. Micro-Vote, for example, lost in a million dollar suit in Montgomery County PA, a case just recently upheld.

I would suggest that if you are sued, once you have won the suit, which it seems clear to me you will, that you counter-sue and ask for several milliions in damages. What you might propose is this: that the money, over and above the amount you need to cover court costs and attorney fees and your own reimbursement for whatever loss you have incurred, be added to a fund to be used by other elections officials around Florida and the country who are daily facing law suits for standing up for the rights of the American voter. I myself was threatened with a lawsuit by a voting maching company rep for daring to write a letter to the editor that mentioned two instances in which the company's machines malfunctioned. The newspaper article and the law firm's description of the case (which I used as the basis of my letter) were right in front of me as this guy threatened me.

What you have experienced and are experiencing is an example of true patriotism and heroism. You have the support of tens of thousands and as your story is publicized of millions more.

As Gary said, there are literally thousands of us from states all over the country who are keeping a very close eye on what's happening with you in Florida. I personally wrote to the Florida Secretary of State yesterday:

Dear Secretary,

I find it ludicrous that you would attempt to punish Ion Sancho simply because he exposed a serious flaw in your voting machines. It is obvious to those of us watching that this is a witchhunt intended to stop ANY scrutiny of your broken election system. Ion Sancho only sought to discover the truth, and now you and Jeb Bush and all the other "powers that be" are looking like completely corrupt power-hungry criminals to the world outside of Florida.

How dare you punish him, when ALL THREE voting machine manufacturers REFUSE to do business with him? And it's clear WHY they won't: BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEIR MACHINES WON'T PASS HIS TESTS.

Shame on you.

We are all watching. You will NOT get away with this obvious attempt to undermine our democracy.

We are in awe of your courage in a time when there seems to be so few of you. These formidable foes are desperate because their position is indefensible:

-to sanction voting machines that a proven easy to hack
-to forbid the recounting of paper ballots
-to illegally override your authority
-to side with companies that violate anti-trust agreements by manipulating the market in their favor
-to sic the DOJ on you to shoe horn in broken voting systems
-to forbid voting companies other than the "Big 3" into the free market place

Ion, you will stand in the chapters of history alongside Patrick Henry who said, "Given me Liberty or Give me Death."

Because surely to stand up to these thugs is to put your life and livelihood on the line.
