ACLU Patriot Act Director NOT interested in Open Records Denials
IS THE ACLU ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THIS ELECTION FRAUD battle, having used HAVA to force states like CA and GA to more quickly implement DRE machines on behalf of disabled? Has anyone had a single good ACLU experience related to election fraud/reform litigation?

*******
I just spoke with Gregory Nojeim who 2nd in command and an expert on patriot act activty is Chief Legislative Council and the he works legislatively to stem the growing Patriot act Tide...

You would have thought he'd react to the paragraph in my letter denying me access to open records in Georgia because of as the letter from our SOS Office states, releasing the CD would:

“COMPROMISE SECURITY AGAINST SABOTAGE OR CRIMINAL OR TERRORIST ACTS”
and further "nondisclosure of which is necessary for life, safety or public property" quoting 2 georgia laws.....

I was very surprised when I asked to email him the letter he said, Good luck but I won't read the letter...goodbye... click..

IF ONE PERSON CAN TELL ME SOMETHING POSITIVE The ACLU has done for open records requests or for election reform, I will hang in there but otherwise, I'm losing interest in their ability to work with our community!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also getting very sick of folks who have 'given up' on election fraud. It's out there and we cannot give up on saving our democracy.

not now.. it's too important...... ACLU Better pay attention or risk becoming useless in a world where they are too busy to take a case out of the hundreds of thousands civil liberty violations that erupt over voting / a core issue /being denied the citizens of this country.

DOESN"T ANYONE GET HOW CORE VOTING IS??? Why work on Social security or bankruptcy bill or even patriot act when the legislators that voted those bills in were 'UNELECTED!" am I the only one questioning this way?

<snip>
As Associate Director, Nojeim will act as Chief Legislative Council and the office's second in command. In addition to continuing to work on several pieces of legislation, Nojeim will supervise the office's overall legislative efforts and serve as an integral member of the management team.

<snip>

"Greg has been an amazing asset for our lobbying efforts in this office and I look forward to his continued success in this broader arena," Murphy said. "At a time when the anti-civil libertarian agendas of the Bush Administration and Congress threaten our rights and liberties as never before, I am confident that Greg will serve as an effective leader for our staff and office."

1. I am as baffled as you are Rigel. There is no greater threat to Democracy
than electronic voting. At least as far as I can see.

I cannot understand except to say that I believe the power to change and forbid the use of machines in our states and our counties is going to be from communities and cities saying no.

Federal is not doing their job. In fact they seem to be sabatoging our Democracy more than anything. I know many are trying, but there needs to be more accountability and responsibility. Until that time, I think we need to strengthen our voices and power locally and state wide.

to work city by city and municipality by municipality...
