The first rule of advertising is KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

As part of the "educated elite" we DUers tend to over think and be too obtuse.

We should take a page from the GOP playbook and play dirty and use BUSH CHEATED. It should be our Sore Loserman because we need to KISS and we need to mock and denigrate the opposition. They would do it to us. If we continue to play nice we will be slaughtered. In addition BUSH CHEATED covers every type of election fraud, suppression, tabulation fraud, ballot box stuffing, etc.

We need to reach lots of people who have no idea what is going on because they do not visit lefty web sites. A large portion of those people are geographically easy to communicate with. In my pre election GOTV street canvassing activities I had no problem figuring out where the likely dem voters were (urban and campus areas, integrated or minority neighborhoods) and I was able to use guerrilla marketing, ie. posting bills to reach people even when I was not there. I use 3M Super 77 spray adhesive from Staples to glue them to metal utility poles, bus stop shelters, new paper racks, and phone booths in urban/campus areas where our base congregates.

Go to http://somnamblst.tripod.com to download high res flyer files to print. BUSH CHEATED is color but can be printed B&W to save $$$. It prints 2 to a page so you will have to cut it. The link for more info is http://stolenelection.org a very easy URL to remember.

2. I would have done lots of them by now except it has been too cold
in Ohio. I know of two that have not been peeled off for 4 weeks and 3 weeks respectively. The one at the grocery store cart corral has been there 3 weeks.

I'm far from educated but your past flyers and in particular these new photos are very creative and are very appealing. Keep up the good work, they really hit the mark.

5. If we don't fight dirty we will be creamed...
They fought dirty in 2000 with the Miami Dade Brooks Brothers riot, the Sore Loserman signs that appeared instantaneously, and the thugs shouting, "get out of Dick Cheney's house"

Thom Hartmann said if we do not mock our opponents we will lose.

Now quit being nice.

If you hate Blackwell and GWB you'll enjoy this one...

Edited on Sat Jan-01-05 10:00 AM by rosebud57
meanest, dirty dog flyer, called GWB is a PAB. First of all virtually all my GOTV efforts were in the African American community and low income urban whites. If you were a dope boy standing on the corner, I wanted your vote for John Kerry. Anyways everyone loved this flyer and wanted one, sometimes more so they could give them to friends and family. Most did not even fold it to put it in their pocket because they did not want to mess it up. African American businesses were proudly displaying it on the walls of their businesses. African American grandmas toting little kids loved it, profanity or not. I was going through at least 100 per day, which meant almost 100 street level contacts per day. I could barely afford my Kinkos bill.

When the nice "educated elites" working with the Kerry campaign saw it, they were like, "oh my, you can't say that. Could you change it to say GWB is a mean old witch?" Thom Hartmann says we must learn to use psyops like they do. We must mock and riducule. No more playing nice.

11. Just got back: Adventues in glueing BUSH CHEATED near campus
First of all everyone I talked to was very supportive and surprised to hear what is going on. Forget worrying about how republicans will take it, we need to inform all those people who voted for Kerry and recruit the more militant type of youth to throw down. I kept saying, "if we don't throw down now, then we are punks"

I also explained the fraud in 100 words or less by saying the computer program counted the votes and like KFC, it's a secret recipe. The Kerry voters I talked to today did not know about the exit poll discrepancy. That is why we must KISS (keep it simple stupid) and use what everyone understands: BUSH CHEATED.

In fact just walking past some young anarchist types, they spotted my clipboard with BUSH CHEATED andstruck up a conversation and all took one. They can't do DC, but said Columbus was a possibility.

OK, now here is the adventure part. Normally I never do anything at an intersection when the light is red but...

A Lexus SUV was at the light and he rolled down his window and said, "what are you doing?" I said, "glueing." He got pissed and cussed me out saying it was probably illegal and I was proabably some political freak. Because it looked like he was circling the block I ducked into a chinese restaurant and ordered hot and sour soup. While waiting for my order, I saw the Lexus asshole peel off the BUSH CHEATED. After getting my soup, I walked back across the street and glued another one. Go to http://somanmblst.tripod.com to download high res files to print and distribute.

The proof:

We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drummin'.
Four dead in Ohio.

Gotta get down to it.
Soldiers are gunning us down.
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her and
Found her dead on the ground?
How can you run when you know?

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na.

Gotta get down to it.
Soldiers are cutting us down.
Should have been done long ago.

Found her dead on the ground?
How can you run when you know?

Tin soldiers and Nixon's comin'.
We're finally on our own.

8. Looks like E. J. Dionne of the WaPO agrees with me...
Relentlessness pays off. President Bush won reelection by ignoring the conventional wisdom that vicious attacks on your opponent don't work and turn off voters. As soon as John Kerry won the Democratic nomination, Bush's campaign went on the attack and never stopped. It worked.

snip

The sheer negative genius of the Bush campaign is worthy of close study. Face it: Liberals and Democrats are way too sensitive to elite editorial page opinion that asks more responsibility from the side it supposedly supports than from the side it supposedly opposes. Liberals worry themselves sick that if they fight Bush's cockamamie idea of borrowing billions for a shaky Social Security privatization scheme, those editorial writers will savage them. A lead opinion is likely to demand that they enter into negotiations with the president, even if the very act of doing so is certain to give Bush the upper hand.

Memo to Democrats: Forget the editorial writers and ask yourselves: What Would Bush Do? If you are not as tough as he is, he will crush you -- again. Memo to liberal commentators: Why bend over backward to demand of your own side what you don't demand of the right, or of Bush

21. LOL! Don't put them on their windsheilds, put them on their bumpers.
They might not notice them for a few days and actually drive around with them. More exposure!:)

BTW, even in vandalism, Dems are soooo nice. Using wheat paste so as not to hurt their cars. You're an honorable criminal! Good Luck.:hi:

I only do the vandalism thing where graffiti already lives...

I use 3M Super 77 spray adhesive for metal and plastic surfeaces such as utility poles, bus stop shelters, newspaper racks, and advertisng benches. If there isn't existing graffiti I pass it by.

If I didn't have kids, a husband who would kill me if I was doing this and if I didn't live in a small town where everyone knows everyone (many would figure out I put up the signs), I'd be right there with you. It sounds like such fun!!!!:)

24. It's always easy to tell when I have been doing it, I have black ink
and adhesive on my right hand. I do it right in front of bystanders. In urban graffiti type areas most of the bystanders are Kerry voters.

It's a good way to educate. Most Kerry voters have no idea.
