Air America Radio in the Red States...
...is just what we need! The OTHER side of the story is not being heard! Being in Charleston, SOUTH CAROLINA and now having Air America radio (just as recently as this past weekend)I can tell you that it is just incredible. It helps energize those we need for the fight. People in the south just darn it, DON'T KNOW! (And, btw, I was born and raised here.):)

4. No doubt
People believe what they are told over and over. They need to have access to the other half of the story. As long as the Right Wing holds a monopoly on the media, the truth will remain exactly what the media tells them.

9. I remember reading...
somewhere back when the fight with the FCC was going on, that liberals need not fret...Clear Channel, ect. were in it for the money and were no fools...they knew the potential audience was out there and we could begin to see them going for liberal talk. Well, that is what happened...Clear Channel brought Air America Radio to South Carolina, no less!

10. Yes, AA makes a huge difference in a conservative area.
In San Diego, long a GOP stronghold with the military bases here, Air America became the top-rated talk show on radio within 6 weeks of coming to town--beating out a show hosted by a former GOP mayor.

I think Air America was a big force behind Democrat Donna Frye's surprising upset victory in the mayor's race this November. (At least, it will be an upset victory if the "disupted" ballots now known to favor Frye are allowed by the courts to be included in the tally.)

11. Spokane, Washington, too.
Air America is coming on January 3rd. Sure, it is on a Clear Channel, but still. I thought I would be dead and freezing before a liberal talk show was aired here. We have media that is 80% owned by one family that is as conservative as it is entrenched and greedy. This town has not known freedom of speech since about 1880.
