How I Think I Prepared for This Day...
Six months ago I lived between the Pentagon and Dulles airport. I went through 9/11, knowing people who were at the Pentagon that day. I was scared, since I was supposed to board a plane at Dulles that day for a cross-country flight (later on in the day).

Our mail sorting facility handled all of the major mail coming in through Virginia for DC and the surrounding areas. It was shut down due to Anthrax. Checking the mail was a serious concern every single day.

And I worked for a company, actively managing projects which involved outsourcing work to India. I didn't like doing this and tried to get off the projects, but I couldn't. In my defense, I left those outsourcing projects in a lurch when I quit my job.

And I did quit my job, and convinced my husband to move for his job. And now we live in the middle of pratically nowhere. I doubt if terrorists have probably never heard of our mail facility, and probably have never heard of the most main "highway" that runs near our house. And there's no major targets within miles and miles...

Interesting now that I look at it, I wonder if I wasn't setting myself up to be somewhere more "secure" or at least less of a terrorist target, knowing deep down that there was a strong possibility this criminal would be re-selected...
