Did we all have a lovely St George's Day?
Not sure which was my patriotic highlight of the day - the two England Flags on the antlers of the Public Toilet attendant in Morpeth Bus Station (No, I'm not making it up ) or watching the arrest of one of a bunch of ratarsed Inger-land Skins being arrested for mooning on top of a statue outside St. Thomas's Church in Newcastle.

It makes you proud to be Irish. Or Welsh. Or Scottish. Or just about anything else ...

3. I briefly forgot it was St. George's Day and assumed the Ingerland football team were playing
When I was out and about in Newcastle and Gateshead yesterday, it was the amount of people wearing England football team shirts which threw me. Is that what perceived English identity has been boiled down to, football?

6. And rugby
England gets to play the other nations at rugby more often. Still haven;t worked out a separate anthem, though.
