An apology (UK forum)
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 01:51 PM by lockdown
Really is the last one. In my embarrassment I was being an inappropriate fool to the end.

Very sorry everybody, for any hurt and damage caused.

2. Fucks sake
Yet another bad phrasing in the moment. End of posting on and visiting DU I meant obviously, just to be clear.

3. Well, you've mentioned in another post about "difficulties"
created, but I looked and couldn't see any evidence of them. Maybe I missed something while on my hols?

Anyway, best of luck in your virtual travels if you do decide to go.

Amusing pic of yours in a thread below, BTW.. Not a self-portrait, I hope!

4. You're being very cryptic, lockdown.
What do you have to apologise for?

If it is anything to do with me, I know that you and I disagree rather sharply on many issues, but I actually rather like you as a person and a sparring partner and I would be sorry to see you go. You certainly have no need to apologise to me.

And this after the ...of J Temperance thing. All very odd.

6. At the risk of being slaughtered
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 08:03 PM by lockdown
for another post, yes I was apologising to you for one. Just didn't want to name names. For a change..

Partly for playing games, partly because I had no idea what was going on recently and was uncertain about problems I might have caused, while thinking I may have inadvertantly caused some for you. Not cryptic, just confused! Odd indeed, emotions all over, at the same time misinterpreted signals all over the boards, the worst being when I thought the oJT character was in fact representing a child in a really horrifying setup, prompting some of the more excruciating of my recent posts. Very much embarrassing enough anyway though without that. Fucking nightmare, been very silly. But asked for from other quarters, at the risk of being cryptic.

Not after the Temperance thing, during! All the same oddness.

I do owe you an apology, but thanks for saying it anyway.

8. I'm not planning to slaughter you! I hope you don't think I've ever tried.
This is an internet message board. Nuance, tone, subtlety and sarcasm are impossible. People say stupid things in the grip of emotion, or sensible things you misread because you're in the grip of emotion. So you disagree with some people on the board? At times I feel like I disagree with 90% of the people on the board! The fact is, if you read a post you agree with, you nod, think "right", and move on - you don't reply, most times, unless they have some great insight or need encouragement. But if you read a post that is WRONG, you'll reply. So you can feel that more people criticise your posts than praise; but that's just an illusion.

Stick around.

signals in the way of child abuse threads, seriously. Had to clarify that now I've gone and bloody mentioned it at all, no bullshit. Funny few weeks eh.. time for some fresh air and to stop digging myself deeper. Literally last I'll say.

Considering I didn't do a damn thing wrong? Representing a child? WTF?! Get a grip man, have a smoke and chill out.

11. Thank you, Mu. The bunny has clarified the thread a lot ...
... although I need to know why, unlike most pancake-wearing lagomorphs, this one has no maple syrup on its headpiece.

Is it Canadian?

13. Ah! Oolong! Of which Whispering Paul McDowell of Temperance 7 fame ...
...sang, thus...

Sugar, that’s what I’ll name you
Sugar, I’ll come and claim you
Sugar, don’t change your mind
You’re not that kind, you’re too refined
Ah, sugar, I can’t wait too long
Sugar, don’t keep me blue long
Sugar, drop in my oolong
And sweeten the day for me

Barp, barp, barp, beepbeep, biddly-beep, (etc.etc.)

Didn't find the bunny, though...

18. Ah, yes, I remember this guy and his bunny now...
... Mrs. Skin is a bunny fanatic and had this site bookmarked. Forgotten the bunny was called Oolong, though ...

Bunnies, china tea, Japanese eccentrics and Whispering Paul. This thread just gets better and better ...
