Why? Allowing pharmacists to not fill prescriptions they don't want to. That's their choice, but I'll move my money to somewhere else. That's my choice, too. Hey, I'm pro-choice! And I guess they are, too....

Walgreens is too inconvenient for me but since K-Mart left town I go to Shopko only.

Anyone know if Shopko issued a statement on pharmacist refusal?

3. By the way, if you call and complain, they tell you that ALL pharmacies...

...in the state have this policy. I don't know if that's true, but I told them I'm not a big consumer of pharmaceuticals anyways. However I do shop at Wallgreens very often for general merchandise. And as long as pharmacies in Wisconsin continue discriminate, I will take my business to another retail outlet.

as Walgreen's has been my stand-by pharmacy (since I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart). CVS has recently purchased Eckerds, and they seem to be okay. I don't want to give up Walgreen's. Hope they resolve this to customer satisfaction.

I'm wondering, when someone goes to pharm school, do they get to pick and choose which drugs they will 'support'? Shouldn't this kind of thing be weeded out in the school setting? OTOH, a pharmacist with a conscious (whatever it might be) isn't altogether a bad thing.

I will not shop there anymore either - never had my prescriptions there anyway cause one was never close to my clinic - plus I heard they make you wait a long time, and sometimes fill with wrong meds!
