Pam Galloway strikes
Pam came out from hiding to put forth a concealed carry law. This is the first, and probably the last, time we will hear from her. She is doing this as it is a very safe thing to do considering the gun lovers in the state. Wonder if the NRA gave her any money.

1. Jobs?
Let's see, they've attacked collective bargaining and voter rights, are pushing conceal carry, and are probably going to introduce some crazy anti-woman bill any day now. WTF are those jokers doing to create jobs?

2. I really LOVE this quote:
Edited on Thu May-05-11 04:56 PM by ewagner
According to Galloway, "People who carry a concealed weapon are responsible people.".....REALLY?

Just to keep it in context and prevent a flame war...that quote was in response to a question as to why her legislation would NOT require either a permit or training....

3. Marathon County Dem chair releases a statement
http://www.thewheelerreport.com/releases/May11/0505/0505marathoncountydems.pdf

May 5, 2011 (Wausau, WI) ‐‐ Jeff Johnson, Chair of the Marathon County Democrats, issued the
following statement today:
"Senator Galloway's choice in her first major piece of legislation ‐‐ to allow concealed carry of firearms ‐‐
is misguided at best and will lead to more dangerous situations for the law
enforcement community. What has happened to jobs, jobs, jobs being the focus for the new Republican
state legislature?
"Senator Galloway’s pandering to some of her Party’s base does nothing to improve the lives of the
constituents of her district. After supporting stripping worker’s rights and gutting the education system
and local government bodies, this is her next priority? I challenge Senator Galloway to start doing the
people’s business and working to represent her district rather than being a vehicle for the same old tired
Republican platform."

Why aren't more Dem chair's doing press releases?

5. great press release
A friend of mine ran as a Republican for Assembly in the last election. I've worked with him politically and we've always been able to talk things out and literally "reach across the aisle".

But when he ran for assembly all that stopped. He quit thinking for himself and answered questions by reading off a Republican Assembly Campaign Committee talking points brochure.

That's the nasty trade-off for Republican candidates...or, in some cases, the BENEFIT...don't worry if you don't know anything about the issues and especially it doesn't matter what your constituents think...just stick to the "message" ...use all the "dogwhistles" and you'll be elected...with a little help from MASSIVE amounts of advertising money from our front groups.

Galloway is just the latest in the lineup of Republican automatons.
