It's about time! What the hell was the holdup? Oh yeah, that's right-that disgusting repuke Thompson didn't have the nads to demand accountability.

Doyle bans pay for disciplined Milwaukee cops

MILWAUKEE-Gov. Jim Doyle has signed into law a bill that prohibits Milwaukee police officers from collecting pay while they appeal firings and suspensions.

Old state law allowed Milwaukee officers to collect their pay during a suspension or firing appeal. Legislators revised the statutes after a group of Milwaukee officers fired for beating a man strung out their appeals and collected nearly $500,000 in salary and benefits.

The new law bars pay during the appeal process for any Milwaukee officer suspended or fired if he or she is charged with a felony or a misdemeanor linked to the conduct that got the officer in trouble internally.

2. The seond part of the quote
"And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue." Wikipedia says these lines are a paraphrase of Cicero. I doubt that Cicero could get elected today.
