Anti-war activists plan protests at Rove's city fundraiser
Controversial presidential adviser Karl Rove is coming to Charleston this week, and local protesters are gearing up for his visit.

Rove will be here Thursday for a $50-a-ticket fundraiser for the state Republican Party. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center.

1. I wish I could join y'all . . .
. . . but I'm out of town this week. Somebody give us a report on the protest after it's over.

2. I smelled that, but I just thought it was the chemical plants dumping
their usual really nasty stuff, while the wind was blowing strongly. $50.00 a plate? For a bowl of pinto beans or what? My how the mighty have fallen, from their old $5,000.00 a plate shin-digs. By November you'll be able to get paid to go to a GOPer "Fund Raiser!"
