Henrico - i-book sale fiasco ends with injurious stampede
This has been an incredibly mismanaged situation from the beginning. NBC Channel 12 just said "nobody could have predicted this". Yeah right.

First they offer the i-books for a too-low 50 bucks which created an overwhelming demand.
Now, the actual sale day results in trampled strollers and grandmothers being pushed to the ground.
How much tax money was wasted, on what could have been a somewhat profitable venture for the schools?
Yeah, lets export our superior governing skills to the middle-east right away.
The Story

1. You can't just put the blame on the sellers
offering a good price. It's the crowd to blame...the lack of humanity that seems prevalant now. This happens at Xmas too, in toy stores and discount stores.

There should be some kind of crowd control, although I would bet that they had no idea this would happen...

2. Haven't They Ever Heard Of EBay?
They could have gotten a lot more than $50 a pop for the school district if they'd done a little homework.

4. Blame? I'm placing responsibility
on the idiots who took the ability to respond to familiar lows.

Focusing on the Republican VA government here, I wanted to share the story and register my disgust at the mishandling of the situation.

We can't vote "the buyers" out of office.
