Perry’s Bad Night
Perry’s Bad Night
By GAIL COLLINS
Published: September 23, 2011
Gloom pervades the land. Some people believe it’s the economy. Others blame the weather. I think it’s because the country is gradually coming to grips with the fact that Mitt Romney is going to be the Republican nominee for president.

It is a scientific fact. Every minute, somewhere in America, another citizen realizes that Mitt is going to be in our face for the next 14 months. Conceivably for the next nine years. Children now in third grade might graduate from high school without ever experiencing a totally Romney-free day.

I can't help but contain my glee to watch Perry get burned at the stake nationally. What a big miserable failure he is and what an embarrassment he's making of himself.

www.newshounds.us Notice how Hannity stammers and suggests at the beginning that polls may contradict Luntz' focus group's findings that are so negative for Perry. As I pointed out in my post, Perry was definitely the anointed one on the Hannity show. ...

8. Perry let down a lot of Repubs.
That's extra funny about Hannity's anointed one :)

6. Perry is quickly sinking!
Lol about Cain! On my local message board, there's a thread exonerating the teabaggers of racism because Cain won in Florida!

7. Hopefully the Reps will be sick of him by then.
It is frightening to think his rein could go on. Yikes!

10. Deer In The Headlights Or Deer In The Sights Of Levi Johnson?
Does Governor Goodhair have a deer-in-the-headlights look when he gets questioned, or is it a deer-in-Levi Johnson's-gunsights look.

I'm not fond of the Palin circus, but Levi Johnson was the most authentic of the bunch.

9. Mitt's Still A Mormon
If Rick Perry's campaign self-destructs, right-wing Evangelical Protestants are STILL going to object to Mitt Romney's Mormonism. Is it too much to hope that if Mitt-sie gets the Republican nomination, the evangelical wing-nutz will stay home in November, 2012?
