Houston DU Meetup is tonight

With everything that's going on in the last two weeks before the election, our little get-together will, as always, be an informal "chat-and-chew", so if some of you have commitments to phone-bank or block-walk or do other volunteer work for the candidate(s) of your choice, you are excused from attendance.

But if you still want to eat (and King Biscuit has damn good food) and you want to do so with some like-minded lefties, consider this your engraved invitation.

See you tonight (we'll probably talk a little baseball, maybe watch some also).

1. Well, uh I was there

Granted the game was on and it was pretty crowded at first but...
not a DUer to be seen. I had a few Guinness and nice conversation with a regular and left at 8pm.

2. O'Brien, I'm sorry we missed you!

I got there at 6:30, standing in the back along the railing (wearing my pepper scrub shirt).

Mrs. Dittie arrived about ten of seven, and we went outside to get a table and order.

Lisa0825 arrived about 7:30 and we all ate and drank and visited until about 9:15.

I take responsibility; I should've described myself or something. Previously I've worn my Richard Morrison blue shirt (but it was dirty from Saturday's GOTV training).

I hope we get to meet you real soon.

That's a shame. I guess I should have described myself as well! Ah well, I only live a few minutes away and the Guinness was delicious, so all was not lost.
