Protest SOTU 1/31; "World Can't Wait"
Austin, Houston, San Antonio. January 31, on the night of President Bush's State of the Union address:

http://worldcantwait.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=578&Itemid=208

Bring the Noise! Drown Out Bush's Lies!

In large cities and small towns all across the country, join in rallies one hour before Bush's address as we make our determination to “Drive Out the Bush Regime” the political message of the day.

At 9:00 PM EST, just as Bush starts to speak, everywhere we will BRING THE NOISE. In a cacophony of sound, we will drown out his address with music: from drums to violins, from hip hop and classical; and with noise: banging pots and ringing church bells, sound car horns and lifting our voices.

Austin: Rally with speakers: 7 pm, Austin City Hall (downtown, where S. 1st St. Bridge meets Cesar Chavez)
Drown Out Event - 8pm (Real time-State of the Union Address)
Bring Tha Noise! Pots and Pans * Drums * Music of all kinds
CALLING ALL AUSTIN BANDS - Be a part of these historic national events! Contribute your talents to Drowning Out Bush's Lies!
*Get your tickets for the buses to D.C. Saturday, Feb 4, we will Demand that Bush Step Down! and Take your Program With You!
**Contact Us at: [email protected]

Houston: 6:15 pm assemble at the intersection of Taft & Clay downtown. 7:30 pm: We will march to the CBS affiliate KHOU Channel 11, 1945 Allen Parkway (a few blocks away).

San Antonio: 7 pm Corner of S. Alamo and Commerce

1. Be there!
The pots and pans really make some noise plus it looks very people oriented. Make some noise, you can always catch the bu$h recorded lies later.

4. Waco too !!!
Waco: Poppa Rollo's Pizza, 703 N. Valley Mills.

A public SOTU watch party will give Wacoans an opportunity to count and counter administration lies, distortions, cronyism, corruption, illegal activities, wasteful spending, environmental destruction and other crimes and scandals during the past year.

4 - 6 pm: Rush-hour demonstration at the intersection of Waco Drive and Valley Mills. Huge banners will proclaim "Disgrace of the Nation" and ask passing motorists to "Honk for Impeachment".

SPECIAL GUEST: "King George" will be wearing his crown and waving and enjoying his imperial
powers.

All those concerned about administration policies and determined to preserve the right to dissent even in "Bush Country" are invited to join in.

7:30 - 9:30: A SOTU watch party will allow those who are alarmed by the true "state of the union" and tired of hearing the same old lies and witnessing the dissolution of our peace, security and liberties to not only commiserate with each other, but to discuss ways to stop appointments and legislation that hurt and disempower average Americans.

8. Just back home. I liked that effigy. It seemed to make the police
nervous though.
