Two House Dist. 48 candidate forums next week.
Remember, the special election is Tuesday the 17th. Early voting on now.

Anyway, there are two candidate forums:

1. Wednesday, January 11, 2006
6:00-7:00 p.m.
Carruth Building - 1111 W. 6th Street

Candidate Forum hosted by the Austin Chamber of Commerce
Join the Austin Chamber of Commerce for a Candidate Forum with District 48 candidates

The format will be:
Moderator Introduction, Candidate self-introduction (1 minute each), Moderator Questions (90 second response from each candidate), and Closing Remarks (2 minutes)

Questions will be limited to topics that the new HD 48 representative will address prior to the end of their term in January 2007 - business taxes, public education and CAMPO-related transportation issues.

2. Thursday, January, 12, 2006
7:00 p.m.
Westlake High Sschool Fine Arts Facility

You are invited to attend a District 48 Candidate Forum
hosted by the Westlake Chamber of Commerce & the Eanes ISD

The Format will be:
I. Welcome by Eanes ISD Superintendent Dr. Nola Wellman and EISD Board of Trustees President Robert Durkee
II. Introduction by moderator
IV. Candidate statements (5 minutes each)
V. General questions (2-3) for all candidates (response limit 2 minutes each)
VI. Questions from audience
VII. Closing remarks by Westlake Chamber of Commerce
