So, who's going to the debate in Charleston on July 23?
Since I live in Charleston, I thought I'd make an effort to go because how often do you get to go to a Presidential debate?
I emailed the state Dem party asking about tickets and got back a really vague, copy/paste answer. So...I'm just waiting for someone to disclose this seemingly secret method of ticket allocation. Has the state party organization just given up because this state is so red? Jesus.
Try one of the campaigns I think you would have a better chance. I won't be able to go because I have to work that day but different campaigns I've been working with are already writing down names who want to go. So if you go to an Obama supporter group or maybe a Clinton group or others you can put your name down and you might have more of a chance.
I think the tickets for the first debate were better handled than this one. But this is "Charleston" and the first one they were really trying to make a good impression. I liked that they said right from the start how many would be student tickets when they were going on sale etc.
The next time I get a call from the party reminding me to vote, I'm going to ask them how much I have to pay to vote for their candidate. Maybe I'll get the chance to do that to a candidate or a representative of a candidate on election day when they stand around with their signs.
I've had it with the money-grubbing establishment scoundrels.
10. went to a democratic party meeting a couple of months ago
and even then, they were saying that there wouldn't be tix available. word was that press had first dibs, then entourages and so on down the line nothing left for a joe 6-pak.
