1. From the same article:
"Zahorchak resigned Thursday with little explanation and was retained by the district as director of strategic initiatives, a position that requires no office hours and allows him to keep his $195,000 salary this year, along with a $55,000 bonus."

Yet, 112 teachers were laid off and some principals lost their jobs. Zahorchak was a disaster.

2. Zahorchak is an asshole from way back. He should have been..
investigated when he was secretary of education, the word was out that he had stock in a number of charter schools. Don't know if it's true but it sure put him in a bad light if there was inkling to that.
