Just heard that Gordo agrees w/cheney
that there is no evidence that the massive fish kill on the Klamath River in 2002 was caused by water diversions to farmers.

Then googled this:

Saturday, August 11, 2007
JEFF MAPES
The Oregonian Staff

Sen. Gordon Smith argues there is no evidence a massive fish kill on the Klamath River in 2002 was caused by water diversions to farmers.

Generating fresh controversy over a key Oregon environmental issue, the Republican senator also defends the role Vice President Dick Cheney played in intervening with federal officials to help farmers in the Klamath Basin. And he casts doubt on claims that the salmon die-off caused subsequent commercial fishing restrictions off the coast.

The Klamath issue is flaring anew because the House Natural Resources Committee is investigating whether Cheney exerted improper political influence to override scientifically based management of the water resources.

Is there no one in the entire state of Oregon that can and will run against him?

1. The Oregonian...Smith's reliable, useful idiot.
It's funny in the bad way, but it's so predictable...I've got to believe that witling David Blowhard...eh, sorry, Reinhard writes the editorials for them when they do the lapdog for Smith.

Just calm down, everyone...he really is a latter day (such irony) Mark Hatfield...just go to sleep and vote Smith.

Pay no attention to that Jeff Merkley fellow.

2. Who is Jeff Merkley?
And has he made the decision to run?

3. Speaker of the Oregon House last session...good guy, smart fellow.
...my own State Rep, district 47...he's been getting major public credit for the realtively triumphant session that the Leg has had this year, and a pretty dam' sight better than the former SoH (you may remember Karen Minnis...eeyugh...)

Brilliant fellow.

go to his website and read up on him. Jeff could beat El Gordo, if we support him.

4. Who could forget Karen Minnis?
Thanks for the website. I signed up to receive emails.

I'll be seeing Arnie Roblan, my state rep soon and I'll ask him about Jeff.

5. Not me, no matter how hard I try.
Good on you for looking into Jeff. I'm really a fan...I might volunteer in some way to his campaign, which is something I never do for anyone (I stick my neck out for nobody!), that's how impressed with him I am.
