Anybody have info about the Portland March on Saturday?
This morning on Thom Hartman I heard them say there would be one here, as well as Seattle, San Francisco, etc... but I can't find any info. :(

I just need to know where, and what time to be there. :patriot:

2. From the KPOJ newsletter...
There will be two anti-war rallies in the Portland Vancouver area this Saturday, January 27th to coincide with the United for Peace and Justice 'March on Washington'

Portland: Veterans for Peace will extend its "Support and Defend the Constitution" action that began Thursday through Saturday to coincide with the march in Washington. 11a-1p at Terry Schrunk Plaza in downtown Portland, across from the Federal building. Some VFP activists plan to follow up with visits to the offices of their congressional representatives with letters against escalation.

Vancouver: Saturday January 27. Noon. Streetside visibility in Solidarity with Peace March in DC. Take you signs, though there likely will be extras. Across the street form the Vancouver Community Library 1007 E. Mill Plain. Organized through Vancouver for Peace.

4. just talked to FreedRadical, he says something will be going on
downtown, probably at Pioneer Square. :)

I need to work for a few hours in the morning, but the jobsite is right on the Max line and I should be done by Noon. I plan on just heading downtown to see what's going on... if nothing else we can join up with the Vets group.

How about Pioneer Square at 1pm? That's been the start time of the Marches I have been to. By the Umbrella Man statue?

5. Sounds good, but...
...the Vets march is going to be over by 1p.m. I sure hope we don't end up as the only people there! Of course, if that's the case, we can always go have a beer to make ourselves feel better about it! :P
