1. Looks like Kathy Taylor has won
Many of the liberal groups were for McCorkell, but my husband worked on her house, and said she was super nice and respectful. In other words, she treated the labor guys well, not like some of the rich-bitches. I have no idea why they picked McCorkell either. He's an entrenched "good-old-boy" and made his money from that Bill Bartmann mess (Commercial Financial Services Inc. CFS)
-------
A longtime Democratic legislator plans to lobby for a top GOP donor. Tulsa Democrat Don McCorkell, who quit his state House seat to run an unsuccessful campaign for the nomination to oppose U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, has registered as a lobbyist for Commercial Financial Services Inc. of Tulsa. The company's president, Bill Bartmann, and executive vice president, Jay Jones, contributed more than $105,000 to 27 Republican candidates for the Legislature last fall. McCorkell, who served 18 years in the House, said he and Bartmann became acquainted through their work on economic development issues. He said he is impressed with Bartmann's company. "Well, he also contributed to me," McCorkell said Wednesday. "He was a maximum contributor to my campaign as well."
