Politicians weigh in on Occupy Cincinnati

Local politicians are beginning to weigh in on Occupy Cincinnati, the protest at Piatt Park now in its fourth day.

Covington city commissioner Steve Frank had one of the more , um, vigorous denunciations, writing on his Facebook page: “Turn out the lights on the Occupiers, I feel like going Taliban on them!!!” (We’ve asked him, via Facebook, what he meant.)

Hamilton County auditor Dusty Rhodes issued this tweet: ”Politicians backing mobs are asking for trouble. Their message doesn’t resonate with independents – or anyone not named Keith Olbermann.”

Cincinnati City Council candidate Chris Seelbach tweeted me back: “I absolutely identify with the frustration felt by Occupy Cincinnati. Government is not working for working class.” ...
