(New York) LT. GOV.'S SON NAILED FOR 'DWI'
November 23, 2006 -- ALBANY - Lt. Gov. Mary Donohue's 18-year- old son was busted for driving while intoxicated yesterday after he drove his father's 2005 BMW into a ditch and was found with a blood-alcohol level twice the legal limit, authorities said.

State Police Maj. Peter Meyer said Justin Donohue, of Brunswick in Rensselaer County, was charged with DWI and speeding after two troopers spotted his car in a ditch at 12:36 a.m., a short distance from his home.

A breath test administered at the scene "indicated he was driving while intoxicated," said Meyer.

Donohue was then taken to a State Police station, where further testing showed him with a blood alcohol level of .16, twice the legal limit of .08, Meyer said.

3. NYS has zero tolerance
to DWI's for anyone under 21. The kid lost his license until he's 21 now. Or at least that's the way it would be for anyone else's son or daughter. This needs to be followed up to see if he gets special treatment.

5. When you can afford a chauffeur
I suppose a driver's license isn't all that important.

9. Read on!!
In 1998, Donohue's then-19-year-old daughter, Sara Kenney, was busted for marijuana possession and speeding.

Sounds like a couple young republicans need to be taking that high energy to Iraq.
