Kerry KC Appearance 8:30 Friday Night
I just got off the phone with the KC office, and it's going to be down in front of Union Station. I asked if tickets were needed, and the receptionist said no, but that they were available at the campaign office at 8415 Wornall.

Their phone number: (816) 822-1702

1. Thanks for this info!
I had heard that tickets were needed if you wanted to get close to the candidates...

I plan to be there with my "Give 'em Hell, Kerry!" sign :hi:

You need tickets to get in and they asked for no signs. Maybe they will pass them out there. I need a yard sign!

on edit - the tickets say 7:30, not 8:30

5. Thanks!
I just read the statement on my ticket about no signs...

But I'm planning on wearing my DU t-shirt!

3. Update 8/5
There are two zones for the rally - those with tickets get closer, those without are farther out. You do have to go by the office to get tickets, giving contact information on each person you list - limit one ticket per listed individual.

They also said to try and be there at around 7:30, though it doesn't officially get going until 8:30.

6. Hard to say - there's a big lot behind & W. of Union Station
North of that is the Freight House, where Lydia's and Jack's Stack BBQ are located, though their lots may be reserved for customers having dinner.

Other than that, I'd say your best bet would be to park either at Crown Center, or on the streets around the Art Gallery district just north of Lydia's and do a bit of walking. If turnout's big (and the weather's beautiful today), you may have some waiting to do no matter where you park.

I have no idea if streets will be closed for the event and if so which ones.
