RNC's Molotov cocktail case with jury.

After two hours of deliberations Thursday afternoon, the jury in the Republican National Convention Molotov cocktail case went home for the day without reaching a verdict.

In closing arguments Thursday, the defense and the prosecution laid out a clear set of questions for jurors. Did David McKay, a 22-year-old from Austin, Texas, make and possess eight Molotov cocktails on the eve of the convention in St. Paul and, if he did, was he entrapped?

Neither Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Paulsen nor defense attorney Jeff DeGree disputed that McKay made the bombs. The point of contention is whether he was talked into doing it by an FBI informant, Brandon Darby.
