2. I just read it on the strib web page
So if we rename Lake Calhoun for Reagan will all the fish die? I've said it before and I will say it again, this guy needs to take a long walk off a short dock.

3. It wouldn't be a big improvement
...considering that Calhoun was a southern senator and slaveowner who played a major roll in the creation of the Confederacy, IIRC. Why don't we just name it Lake Thurmond instead?

David Strom is a tool. A tool of the richest 1% of MN who masquerade as the "Taxpayers League of MN".

Too bad the Taxpayers League isn't going the way of the XFL. Maybe they need a celebrity commentator like Jesse?

4. It seems to me a while back someone floated the idea of naming
Lake Calhoun after Wellstone. I liked the idea (especially after I finally found out who it was named after) but many people had strokes over it. I can't remember if Strom was one of them or not.

5. sorry
words fail me.

Strom falls back on the most-used Pubby response to a firestorm of deserved criticism -- "I was only joking".

As far as I know, only one school was renamed "Wellstone". I'd much prefer "Lake Wellstone", if we really have to change it.
