Bush tells supporter prayers for him are "working"
from the Strib's roundup of Bush visit anecdotes:

Meeting the president makes their cold day

Campaign volunteers for U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy say the chill on the runway was worth the opportunity to greet President Bush as he arrived on Air Force One.

Sherri Mortenson Brown of St. Paul called meeting Bush "the dream of a lifetime." She and Jane Smith of Roseville both hugged the president. "It was awesome. He just thanked us for coming," Smith said.

She also told the president she was praying for him. "He said, 'It's working,' " Smith said.

Oh really, Junior? I wonder whose god they're praying to? Let's see what the numbers say:

3. That was to have the dummy stand next to you for a picture
$1,000 for the rubber chicken dinner with a room full of other dummies.

4. They said 800 people were there
But from an inside source, a few hundred of them were plants. They expected more (this has been Kennedy's BIGGEST event in ages, mind you), but they had to pack the place with staff, volunteers, and idiots who worship the prez but couldn't shell out the bucks. Bastard.

6. Sherri Mortenson Brown is a long-time GOP shill.
Coleman appointed her to the St. Paul Truth-In-Sale of Housing Board of Evaluators while he was still mayor in '99.

AND she was an alternate delegate for the 2004 GOP convention.
