Rep. Candice Miller (R-Michigan) is ripping NW Airlines CEO a new one!
Live on CSPAN now. "Should not cut and run in times of trouble". Her remarks will be in Thomas tomorrow, should any Michiganners want to retrieve/share.

Ripping NWA CEO for dumping 1/3 of his stocks in the month prior to filing for bankrupcy and not showing leadership.

Quoting today's Detroit op ed.

Bet the rethugs target her for defeat. Seems to be a reasonable person who could be courted to come over from the dark side.

1. Wow! Good for her.
I didn't know of the CEO dumping his stock! Good for Rep. Miller; no fan, but good for her on this one. I fly NWA Lansing to DC all the time. We are down to one flight there and one flight back (very early and very late, respectively). Need that flight. Goodbye pensions.

3. Hard to say that, now that Kozlowski got nailed for Tyco.
But, I agree. The real difference seems to be that those who are close to Bush ($) walk. Money, not gender, makes the ultimate difference. Martha's failure to be a Pioneer or Ranger left her vulnerable. When Kenny Boy Lay does a perp walk, I will be amazed. There is no hope of Rove going anywhere, but maybe Lay will get nailed.

6. True, but Martha was front page TV news for weeks. Tyco? Hardly.

8. Are we all here from Michigan, or what?
Heavy representation from our Great Lakes State tonight. We rule. Except for the Lions.

4. Come over from the dark side? Hell no. She IS the dark side.
Don't let one moment of sanity overshadow a career made out of psychotic insanity. Sheesh.

14. Empty rhetoric to give her some blue collar cred
Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 11:10 PM by Strawman
She can only show her kid with a UAW tshirt on in her campaign commericals so many times.

She did also vote against CAFTA, but that was probably her payback from Delay for her work strongarming other MI Repugs on the Medicare bill. The Hammer gave her a free pass to break with the caucus on that one.
