2. some things never change
Unfortunately I still have to hear certain memebers of my family whine about how the new governor is raising taxes (specifically the gas tax) and how thats going to effect his bottom line. We all know that extra 50 dollars a month is really going to be a life changer, since thats way more important than say people dying in unjust wars...:sarcasm:

3. Welcome to DU.
Fortunately all my family up here are celebrating getting rid of the petulant whiner. Oh and whenever we hear the raising taxes bs we remind people to thank Ehrlich when they pay their car registration fees and how the man never saw a fee he didn't want to double. A lot of people around here are from or have family from TN so we remind them that fee is called a wheel tax in TN. It is fun to watch their faces when they think about it.

7. Amen.
It is nice to have the state back where it belongs. We just got home from the Inauguration Celebration. My would not hold out - there was no seating. Got a close up look at Anthony Brown, but O'Malley had not arrived yet. Great enterntainers including Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and wonderful, food.

12. I was talking about Ehrlich
running for the Senate. O'Malley will run for President straight from the Governor's office.
