I'm tired of hearing about the disadvantaged business owner in Maine

I am not overly pleased with sen. Collins most of the time as I feel she caters to business far more than us the voter but this time lifting the weight limit on the interstate is long overdue and she is certainly a force in this project.
Now the main reason we have this law is business getting their greedy paws in politics. ya say no way hose! well your dam wrong about that. Business has always been against changing locations of roadways, new routes such as the interstate and the best part is if you check out the archives of your local papers or the Bangor daily news, portland press herald etc. you can find the truth.
example portland area voters blamed for slowing down interstate extension, turnpike extension ,but one of the latest victories is the denial of the wiscasset by-pass! god I was
17 when I worked on the first survey of rte #1 bypass! I'm 75 now!(how much tax payers money do ya think that episode cost over the years) and how many frustrated summer visitors do you think refused to return? and the latest is no more studies no more by-pass!
OH yea my sympathy goes out to those hate mongers who posted the town of cumberland would wither and die when 1-295 was built. check out the size of the homes, and the population increase along that corridor!
ya know Maine's lobstermen could teach some of these businessmen a lesson or two on how to form co-ops and work together to change with the time.(if you can get two fisherman to agree to work together to compete with the big guy-you sure as hell can get two greedy businessmen to join hands to survive)
this law is long over due from a business(truckers) to a safety factor so lets get behind it
and yea ya know the right has always dragged its feet when it comes to common sense!
the right got so confident in the early fifties they thought they ruled instead of governed; I believe they have yet to learn from past mistakes and voters will respond next month!
