I was a victim of an oil business who took my money on a budget plan and closed the doors with aprox $8oo of my money.
As of Wednesday morning, Thibeault Energy had not filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, according to the online Public Access to Court Electronic Records database.

Nor had Vivian J. Thibeault, who is listed as the company’s president, treasurer and sole shareholder/director, according to the Secretary of State’s Bureau of Corporation, Elections and Commissions.

Thibeault attorney Jennie S.L. Clegg of Marcus, Clegg & Mistretta, P.A., in Portland did not respond to phone and e-mail messages left Monday or during the past week.

One clue, however, to the fate of the former company may lie in a “for sale” sign outside its Pleasant Street headquarters. Another was offered in a Feb. 10 letter from “The Thibeault Family” to “Our Valued and Loyal Customers,” announcing the company’s closure and notifying them that M.W. Sewall had purchased Thibeault’s propane tanks.

But calls in recent weeks, and again on Tuesday, to Laurie Jewett, vice president of M.W. Sewall, were not returned.

The Feb. 10 letter from Thibeault offered former customers no hope of recouping any of the money they had pre-paid for fuel, however.

“Many of you are wondering about the credit balances on your accounts,” the letter states. “At this point, we are unable to return any funds to customers. For those of you who have paid for a pre-buy plan or sent money in on a budget plan and have more questions, you can contact the Maine Attorney General’s Office at (207) 676-8854.”

NOW I HAVE A GOVRENOR WHO WANTS TO CUT STATE EMPLOYEES PENSIONS,FREEZE THEIR COLA FOR SEVERAL YEARS(PROBABLY FOREVER) !HIS GREAT THEORY IS TO GIVE A TAX CUT TO THE "HAVES" PUT A SIGN ON THE TURNPIKE THAT "MAINE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS" WHICN TRANSLATES TO(IF YOU HAVE A BUISNESS IN MAINE ITS AS GOOD AS A LICENSE TO STEAL!
DON'T GET ME STARTED ON WRITING TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFFICE=THIS AIN'T MY FIRST TO THE CIRCUS! THATS LIKE WRITING TO FILE 13! THE ONLY WAY THIS WILL GET RESOLVED IS PUBLIC OUTCRY!
LIKE THE SPEECH=ANY BUSINESS COMING TO MAINE JUST HAS TO SET DOWN AND NEGOTIATE WITH US!
HMMM HOW BOUT MILTY KNOCKET? KIND OF A ONE WAY NEGOTIATION DON'T YA THINK!
CMON WAKE UP AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!
