New Collins vulnerability revealed. Her staff violated the Hatch Act. Evidence online.
Evidence of Hatch Act violations on display on the Internet. What will happen next?

An e-mail about this evidence was sent to the Senator. No response.
Please email also if you can, asking what has been done about her staff's Hatch Act violations.

-----------------Excerpt from thread --------------------------
Here follows the no-brainer, obvious cases that first caught my attention, with the dot.gov e-mails
used in relation to a campaign activity. Others can be easily identified by noting if 1.) the activity
is campaign related, and 2.) either the person is at work, or using a government computer (see the IP numbers).

1. Good stuff...tie her to the Republican Crime Syndicate
Typical Republican....what happened to your promise to serve only 2 terms, Sue?

2. Try getting the Phoenix to do an article on this.
They'd love the chance to stomp on Collins again.

3. Let them know. Still no reply from the Senator on this evidence.
I guess it needs to be in the press somewhere. The Senator does not reply to e-mail about this.

4. Help Tom Allen win against her!
He actually has a fighting chance to topple her.

6. I don't like being a naysayer, but polls have Allen WAY down. Why?: SHITTY CAMPAIGN!
I didn't think anyone could run a worse campaign than Dukakis, but this takes it. Hey, I like Tom and both my wife and I already voted for him, but he is WAY too far behind and can't win now. He screwed up BIGTIME over and over. Here's how:

1) No clear message. NEVER really took the gloves off against Collins tying her firmly and clearly to Bush/McSAME. Weak economic message too from the start.

2) WAY too much time going around talking to safe little liberal groups instead of standing in supermarket parking lots and going to diners to talk with a vast cross section of average Mainers.

3) BORING campaign. No energy. No enthusiasm. BORING, aloof, and unfocused ads.

4) Got CARD-CHECKED bigtime and NEVER responded. That really sunk him.

5) Total failure to connect in the 2nd district. He ran a 1st district strategy in the 2nd district. No targeted ads to the culture here, no good targeted events up here. SHITTY CAMPAIGN PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

Very disappointing. Toppling Collins was always going to be tough given her popularity, but Tom had a real chance to do it in this environment. It could have been done by a few points. That he is 15 points or so behind in the CHANGE environment is shameful and inexcusable.

7. Sadly, I concur.
When he slammed the VoteVets ads against Collins, I couldn't believe it. He's a nice guy who is right on the issues....but never made a dent on the people in Central Maine. Should have stayed in his Rep. seat. An opportunity wasted.

8. I agree his campaign is completely lackluster.
I am having trouble getting up the enthusiasm to vote for him. I can't help but think that if he runs his campaign this way, is this the way he'll perform when seated.
I would not vote for Collins under any circumstance, but I hate to hold my nose & vote for one of my own.
