1. how can we ever trust the Federal Government again?

I've grown increasingly distrustful of the federal government during the Bush administration. But what happened in the Gulf states, particularly NO, is totally off the scales.

It looks like we're on our own. We need to start building grassroots communities to support each other. As for our elected officials, we need to watch them like hawks, hold them accountable like never before, and constantly remind them who they work for.

I've been saying this since Tuesday.They don't give a damn about us,never have and never will.Mr Broussard is right.It is murder!Genocide!
They even tried to get the Governor to sign over the state to the military!And they're turning people away who want to help us.
