Party officials scuffle outside voting site

<<<The voting site at 10th and Post is where Ernie Shearer says he was attacked by the chairman of the Marion County Democratic Party.

Shearer is the GOP ward chairman for Warren Township and says he was representing Hoosiers for Honesty in Government, a political action committee and not his party. When on a tip he stopped by the site to snap these pictures what he calls documentation of candidates campaigning too close to the polls.

It was when he took this photo of chairman Ed Treacy that the trouble began. Eyewitness News reporter Kris Kirschner reports, "According to police reports the altercation began when Treacy left the building and noticed Shearer taking pictures across the parking lot."

According to the police report "Treacy continued walking straight ahead cursing and bumped him, hit him in the nose with a business card. Shearer pushed Treacy's hand away from his face and Treacy bumped him twice more. All three Bumps were chest to chest."<<

Treacy is also alleging voter intimidation.
