Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 07:59 PM by shesemsmom
He has told 150 employees to get ready to go. He has jobs to fill with his friends. I am surprised to find he has that many. Monday he is sending in 34 teams to State offices to reek terror. SO THE HELL BEGINS> 4 years is all your getting get ready Bitch, make the best of it. Privatization here we come. That will really save the state some money. Bend over tax payers. We are in for it now.:puke:

1. Yeah I know it.
My step-daughter voted for him (yet voted for Kerry). She works at the local state hospital and all the employees didn't like Kernan because he shut down a hospital somewhere and the employees were told by Daniels that he promised he wouldn't shut down any hospitals and he wouldn't privatize the mental health facilities. (yeah, right, we know better don't we?)

2. Fellow Hoosier here.
This clown who was Bush's 'Budget Director' who pulled into massive deficit is not qualified to run a lemonade stand yet the majority of Hoosiers votes this a-hole in.

He ran around in a donated RV for 16 moths so this qualifies him to be governor?

I have live din Indiana all my life save six years of military service and it still boggles my mind why in the hell a state that has lost as much under republican administrating state and federal that they still continue to vote against their best interest!

To all yo freaking repug Hoosiers!

It is time to get past...GUNS...GOD...GAYS....

Stop being so freaking shallow!

3. They're patronage jobs.
My wife knows several of the people that are affected. She attended a meeting this morning with one lady who will probably be let go and there were lots of tears, but if you get a political appointment, that's the way it is when power changes hands. It's just that the Democrats have been in control for 16 years and we tend to forget that.

Of course, I'd prefer that all jobs like this be civil service, but both parties love to reward their own people after a win even if it means that the public suffers due to the needed on-the-job training.

4. I heard that our supreme court recently stated that you cant
let people go for political reasons. so this should be interesting. They will have to offer them other jobs. And the budget being what it is they are gonna have a hard time justifying that move.

5. That doesn't apply to political appointees.
Plus, they won't want to work for the Daniels administration, anyway. Hell, who would? :)

6. If it involves hiring or firing then likely to be forced to resign
If it involves heading up any agency they will be forced to resign.

If it involves anyone that is fair and honest about doing their job in a management position they will be forced to resign.

7. Exactly!!!!!
And if he really wants to save some money he should ask his new appointments to cut their salaries in half. Do the state a favor.

9. Well, he has no experience running a government.
As OMB director, he helped ruin the national economy.
His long-time support for drug companies doesn't inspire me to think that he will try to make drugs affordable for Hoosiers.
He is so incredibly ignorant of how politics works in Indiana that he thinks he will able to get Daylight Savings Time passed through the legislature.
I also think Daniels is a liar and a thief. He seems about as intelligent as GW Bush.

11. Seeing him referred to as gov. elect is bad
enough. You can be assured that asthma rates will soar, tax burden will be further skewed towards the wealthy, cuts in education but assistance for the Speedway, and Eli Lilly will receive every kick back known to man. This man will exceed all expectations and invent ways of fucking the general public yet unforeseen. Not to mention his predisposition of kicking puppies and molesting stray cats.
