Where does the Indianapolis Star lie on the Political Spectrum
I'm not sure if you all in Indiana know this but here in Pittsburgh our liberal paper The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is going to shut down production for good soon and i'm in dyer needs of a good paper. I was thinking of getting a mail subscription to the Indianapolis Star cause I like the city cause of it's culture but one thing I like about a newspaper is it's opinion/editorial section it's one of the first things I look at when I read the paper. So where does the Indy Star lie? it it liberal, conservative what?

1. I think Joseph Mengele is on their editorial board.
Pretty far right. Robert Kennedy didn't think much of the newspaper during the 1968 campaign, and over the many elections since then, the Quayle clan seems to have a deep talon on editorial decisions.

Not sure exactly where things stand right now, but if you were looking for a sturdy newspaper, I'd check a lot of others out before picking up the STAR.

2. First of all Its a gannett newspaper
The Indianapolis Star has a major lean to the right due to the bible beaters/and religous right and lots of old money in this state.. There is a local paper called NUVO its a alternative to the MSM rags.. Not sure if they have a website online that you can sneak a peek...

Much better than The Star - who's nickname is 'the paper with a prayer'.

Ugh.

4. It's horrible!
Their editorial board is nothing but RW nuts. Most of their political stories have a Republican slant. It's pathetic.
