Any Sox Fans? Steal My Avatar
The other day, I captured this pic of Senator Obama proudly wearing a White Sox cap on his Hawaiian vacation. Feel free to grab it.

No offense intended to Cub fans...here's hoping Senator Obama selects a running mate who bleeds Cubbie Blue!

It's been a great baseball season...both sides of town...and hopefully even better times are ahead (Da Bears are gonna suck)...and we can enjoy a cross-town World Series (of course the Sox win in 7) in October before we bring Senator Obama across the finish line in November.

Cheers...

1. like i needed another reason to be crazy about the man.
a sox fan. be still my heart.

you know, it is not so much the cubs themselves that i have grown to dislike- it is their fans. a bigger bunch of jerks you will never find.
i spent yesterday in iowa, and one of the canvassers lives in wrigleyville. we were coming home pretty late, after stopping for dinner on the way home. i was trying to drop this young lady at home.
om f'ing g. gridlocked assholes.
there were 4 drunks in a car giving us shit, screaming that obama is a socialist. (click here to see how he knew were we obamanaughts)
another guy walking down the street started yelling at the guys in the cab. he was obviously drunk, had obviously pissed his pants, and appeared to have streaks of vomit on his shirt.
that whole neighborhood was a lot better back in the day when it was the home of junkies and thugs.

i am going to a game there this week with my local dems. i have not been there in a decade or so. i hope i don't get another reason to never visit that neighborhood again.

2. Here's The Full Screen Cap

I haven't been to Wrigley since 1972. I've been offered tickets many times and have zero interest...it's not my place. I've long gotten past my angst of Cub fans...winning a World Series can do that to a fella...and found it got too easy to laugh at their misfortune.

This year we've been out to a bunch of games and have tix for a couple more games in September. I'll be canvassing during the day and out at the ballpark at night.

Maybe you can make a button from this...they'd go over real well at the ballpark.

Cheers...
