on the face of it, anyway. I'm just pissed at a partisan level and am not willing to give at GOP tool any credit. Sure, Hastert could be given credit for good things and enhancing the community. But at what cost? At what cost to the greater community, that being the rest of the nation?
I've lived for too long under Republican majority and been slapped too many times for being Democrat and a liberal. When Hastert and the GOP shows a desire to give credit where credit is dur, shows a desire to work WITH members for "the other side of the aisle", and demonstrates a willingness to acknowledge working with individuals who don't hold the political labels of Republican/conservative, then maybe I'll view this in a more favorale light.
Until then, screw 'em. I'm tired of reaching out and trying to work to find common ground while getting slapped in the face.
